2nd CBPR Conference
In Partnership With The Community: Collaborative Research To Improve Health
The Northwest Health Foundation proudly co-sponsored the second community-based patricipatory research (CBPR) conference on September 19-21, 2005 in Portland, Oregon. The event brought together over 200 community members, representatives of community-based organizations, academic research and teaching faculty, public health officials, and policymakers with the purpose of developing the foundational knowledge of CBPR. One of the highlights of the 3-day conference was a powerful performance by Tony Award winning poet, actor, and playright Sarah Jones entitled, "A Right to Care".
