Grant Seeker Guidelines
The mission of the Northwest Health Foundation is to advance, support, and promote the health of the people of Oregon and southwest Washington. The Foundation achieves this mission in a variety of ways including grant making, technical assistance and training for nonprofits, convening, commissioning research, and supporting policy advocacy.
We offer several funding opportunities and programs, each with its own application process, guidelines, and deadlines.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply, organizations must:
- Be tax-exempt as described in Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3), tax-exempt educational institutions, tribal entities, or governmental entities. In some cases, 501(c)(4) organizations may also be eligible.
- Operate within Oregon or southwest Washington (Clark, Cowlitz, Pacific, Skamania, and Wahkiakum counties). Please note, however, that specific programs and funds may have additional geographic restrictions.
- Sign a statement of non-discrimination in leadership, staffing, and services.
Cover sheet
Every grant application must include a cover sheet signed by the applicant organization's Board Chair or official designee.
Deadlines
All applications must be received at our office by 5:00 p.m. on the deadline date. Faxed or e-mailed applications are not accepted.
